At GGS Construction, we are committed to providing reliable agricultural and construction equipment, together with professional support before and after your purchase.
Warranty Coverage
Warranty coverage may vary depending on:
- The type of equipment
- Whether the machine is new or used
- The manufacturer’s warranty conditions
- The age, operating hours, and condition of the equipment
- The specific terms stated in the quotation, invoice, or sales agreement
The applicable warranty period and coverage will be confirmed in writing before the order is completed.
Manufacturer’s Warranty
Where equipment is supplied with an active manufacturer’s warranty, the customer may receive the benefit of that warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms, servicing requirements, and exclusions.
Any manufacturer warranty documents available with the machine will be provided to the customer.
Used Equipment
Used equipment may be sold with a limited warranty, a specific dealer warranty, or without an additional commercial warranty, depending on its age, condition, and sales terms.
Any known defects, wear, damage, or operating limitations will be communicated before purchase where identified. Customers are encouraged to review the equipment description, inspection information, photographs, and available documentation before confirming an order.
What May Be Covered
Where a GGS Construction warranty applies, it may cover faults caused by defective parts or workmanship that occur during the stated warranty period.
Depending on the circumstances, an approved warranty solution may include:
- Inspection and diagnosis
- Repair of the defective component
- Replacement of an eligible part
- Technical assistance
- Another appropriate solution agreed with the customer
Warranty work must be authorised by GGS Construction before repairs or replacement parts are ordered.
Warranty Exclusions
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, warranty coverage does not normally include:
- Normal wear and tear
- Tyres, tracks, filters, fluids, belts, batteries, or other service items
- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, overloading, or an accident
- Incorrect operation or failure to follow operating instructions
- Unauthorised repairs, alterations, or modifications
- Damage caused by unsuitable attachments or accessories
- Failure to carry out required servicing or maintenance
- Cosmetic marks that do not affect the machine’s operation
- Transport, recovery, accommodation, or loss-of-use costs
- Problems caused by contaminated fuel, incorrect fluids, or improper storage
Specific exclusions may vary according to the equipment and the warranty provided.
Maintenance Requirements
Customers are responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment correctly.
To preserve any applicable warranty, the customer may be required to:
- Follow the manufacturer’s operating instructions
- Complete servicing at the recommended intervals
- Use suitable parts, lubricants, and fluids
- Keep maintenance and repair records
- Stop using the machine when a serious fault becomes apparent
- Report the fault promptly to GGS Construction
Continuing to operate damaged equipment may cause further damage and affect a warranty claim.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To report a problem, please contact our team and provide:
- Your name and contact details
- The invoice or order number
- The equipment make and model
- The serial number
- The current operating hours
- A clear description of the fault
- Photographs or videos showing the issue
- Relevant service and maintenance records
Our team will review the information and explain the next steps.
Please do not arrange repairs or dismantle the equipment without written authorisation from GGS Construction, except where immediate action is necessary to prevent injury or further serious damage.
Inspection and Diagnosis
We may request additional photographs, diagnostic information, or an independent technical inspection.
If an inspection confirms that the fault is covered by the applicable warranty, we will arrange an appropriate solution. When the issue is not covered, the customer may be responsible for inspection, transport, labour, and repair costs.
Any costs requiring customer approval will be communicated before chargeable work begins.
Spare Parts and Technical Support
Where available, our after-sales team can assist with:
- Identifying suitable replacement parts
- Technical questions about purchased equipment
- Maintenance recommendations
- Service documentation
- Coordination with repair specialists or authorised service centres
Parts availability and delivery times depend on the machine, manufacturer, and supplier stock.
Statutory Rights
Any commercial warranty offered by GGS Construction is additional to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where UK consumer law applies, goods must meet legal requirements concerning satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, and conformity with their description.
Business purchases may be governed by different contractual terms, which will be stated in the quotation, invoice, sales agreement, or applicable Terms and Conditions.
